White Students Excluded from Medical School Scholarships

A watchdog group has discovered that Delta Dental is racially excluding white students from applying for its scholarships. The insurance company partners with Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ, to provide five “Diversity Admissions Scholarships.” White students are barred from even applying for the scholarships, which civil rights lawyers say is illegal.

This has been a growing problem with America’s universities ever since Barack Obama destroyed race relations in America. Qualified white students not only find it increasingly difficult to get admitted into America’s best colleges, but they are also frequently prevented from applying for scholarships.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Delta Dental has offered the no-whites-allowed scholarship with Midwestern University. When civil rights lawyers started calling attention to the unconstitutional and illegal scholarships, media outlets began calling the university and Delta Dental. Neither one has responded to any requests for comment or an interview.

The group Do No Harm has now filed a Title VI complaint with the Department of Education over the racially discriminatory scholarships at Midwestern. The scholarship application specifically states that it is only available to “underrepresented minority groups.” The complaint notes that based on that designation, the scholarship is only for American Indians, blacks, Native Hawaiians, and Hispanics.

In addition to skin color, the scholarships are awarded based on an applicant’s “commitment to diversity.” That’s about as obnoxious as it gets, but Midwestern is far from the only university in America that has been caught offering illegal race-based scholarships like this.

California Baptist University, Indiana University, North Central University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Louisville have all been called out by civil rights groups for offering scholarships that exclude white and Asian students. It’s unclear whether the Department of Education will take action against Midwestern University for discriminating against white med students.
