The 76-year-old singer acted quickly, calling police as surveillance cameras caught the brazen attempt. Authorities later arrested Michael John Bond, who was identified as the suspect.

TMZ reported that Richie credited his high-tech surveillance system for scaring off the would-be intruder before the situation escalated. The Hello crooner was unharmed, but the incident has added his name to the growing list of celebrities targeted by Los Angeles criminals.
