Republicans in Congress ought to take two steps back and ask themselves why the Biden White House, Joe Biden’s cabinet members, the Deep State, and Democrats in general are not scared of them at all. Liberals have absolutely no fear that Republicans will ever follow through on punishing them, no matter how outlandish the Democrats’ crimes are. The latest example came in a closed-door hearing with Biden’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. When Republicans informed Mayorkas that they were getting close to impeaching him, the smarmy little weasel turned around and threatened Republicans.
Mayorkas, of course, has been refusing to enforce America’s immigration laws for the past three years. The largest invasion of any country in human history has taken place here since 2021. Foreign countries have emptied out their prisons and insane asylums and sent their problems to us here in America. The total number is probably somewhere between 10 and 20 million, but no one knows for sure.
While blatantly refusing to enforce the law by defending America’s borders, Mayorkas has responded to accusations of negligence, dereliction of duty, and malfeasance in truly sociopathic fashion. He’ll look you right in the eye like a crazy person and tell you that the southern border has never been more secure. He’s the type of person who reads “1984” by George Orwell and views it as a source of good ideas rather than a cautionary tale against communism. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Our southern border has never been more secure. 2020 was the safest and most secure election ever!
If anyone in Joe Biden’s cabinet deserves to be impeached, it’s Alejandro Mayorkas. Come to think of it, most of them deserve to be impeached, but Mayorkas’s name should be near the top of the list. Fortunately for Mayorkas, Republicans in Congress talk a tough game when sending out fundraising appeals but lack the testicular fortitude to ever hold anyone in the Democrat Party accountable.
Republicans should have impeached Mayorkas approximately 5 seconds after they took control of the House in January of 2023. Instead, here we are a year later, and Mayorkas has allowed another 5 to 7 million illegal aliens into the country.
Instead of actually impeaching Mayorkas, they called him into a closed-door meeting last week. In that meeting, they informed Mayorkas that if he does not shape up soon, they will be forced, at some distant, nebulous point far, far in the future, to hold a series of meetings in which they will plan, organize, and write a strongly worded letter, in which they will inform Mayorkas that they might possibly vote to impeach him one day. Mayorkas, however, knows and understands that “someday” never comes when it involves a “threat” from Republicans.
Serious question for House Republicans: What is wrong with you guys?
According to GOP Members who were at that hearing, Mayorkas was unphased by the Republicans’ threats to hold him accountable around the same time that the sun collapsed into a black hole billions of years into the future. Instead, the smarmy jerk threatened the Republicans in the room!
We’d call it chutzpah, but we know that Mayorkas is not a courageous sort of person. He just knows that Republicans will never, ever follow through on their threats.
