President Donald Trump issued a blunt ultimatum this week to pharmaceutical giants, pressing them to release their internal findings on how effective their COVID vaccines really were. His call comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reels from leadership shakeups and a wave of resignations.

“It is very important that the Drug Companies justify the success of their various COVID drugs. Many people think they are a miracle that saved Millions of lives. Others disagree! With CDC being ripped apart over this question, I want the answer, and I want it NOW,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.

The president revealed that Pfizer and other companies had shown him “extraordinary” information, but claimed the public had never been allowed to see it. “Why not?” he asked. “They show me GREAT numbers and results, but they don’t seem to be showing them to many others. I want them to show them NOW, to CDC and the public, and clear up this MESS, one way or the other!”

Trump added that he hopes Operation Warp Speed—his administration’s effort to deliver vaccines at record speed—was as “BRILLIANT” as many said it was. But, he warned, “If not, we all want to know about it, and why?”

His ultimatum coincides with growing drama inside the CDC. HHS announced that Susan Monarez, sworn in as director only weeks ago by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is out. “Susan Monarez is no longer director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,” the department posted on X. “@SecKennedy has full confidence in his team at @CDCgov who will continue to be vigilant in protecting Americans against infectious diseases.”

Monarez has reportedly hired high-profile attorneys Abbe Lowell and Mark Zaid. Following her ouster, multiple senior officials also resigned. Departures included Dan Jernigan, head of the National Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases division; Deb Houry, the CDC’s chief medical officer; and Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, previously known for his role as Biden’s “monkeypox czar.”

The turmoil has reignited debate over COVID policies and the handling of vaccines. Conservatives argue the left spent years pushing mandates, censorship, and propaganda instead of transparency. Trump’s demand for disclosure seeks to put the spotlight back on the companies that profited while Americans were kept in the dark.
