Business leader Elon Musk has recently voiced his support for the use of paper ballots in elections, citing concerns over the security of electronic voting systems.

Musk’s comments came in response to a statement by independent presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has advocated for the adoption of paper ballots. Looking at what has happened in Puerto Rico’s recent elections is enough to make anyone believe the paper ballots are a better option. The Dominion voting systems simply leave too much room for error and irregularities.

“US citizens need to know that every one of their votes were counted, and that their elections cannot be hacked. We need to return to paper ballots to avoid electronic interference with elections,” Kennedy emphasized. “My administration will require paper ballots and we will guarantee honest and fair elections.”

Echoing this sentiment, Republican Senator Mike Lee from Utah also supported the move towards paper ballots and suggested that all voting should occur on a single designated day.

“Counting ballots just isn’t that hard. Neither is showing up to vote on Election Day. Let’s go back to paper ballots. And everyone voting on the same day. Who’s in?” Lee proposed.

Musk concurred with Lee’s proposal, reiterating on Twitter, “This absolutely needs to happen.”

In a previous tweet from March, Musk expressed his political shift towards the Republican side, indicating a change in his voting behavior.

“I voted 100% Dem until a few years ago. Now, I think we need a red wave or America is toast,” he mentioned.
