If it isn’t clear by now, the Trump family is in the middle of quite a storm. And apparently, that gives some people reason to believe that Melania Trump should split.
To be sure, marriage can be stressful enough on its own. Add in massive wealth, wild fame, and no shortage of enemies… suffice it to say, none of us would be surprised if any Trump marriage resulted in failure.
And now that former President Donald Trump has four indictments against him, the calls for Melania to seek an “escape route” are louder than ever.
One of the most recent comes from public relations expert Jane Owen, who recently spoke with the UK’s Mirror.
As Owen says, “If I was Melanie’s friend or her publicist, I would be advising her to keep her distance as well. The easiest thing to justify is the lack of something.” She went on to explain that to save herself, Melania will need an airtight alibi.
For Melania, that could be something as simple as claiming to be “with her child, doing charity work, busy with literally anything” else.
However, like many on the political left, Owens assumes that things will only worsen for Trump, particularly if he doesn’t win the upcoming presidential election. And that means things will also get worse for Melania.
So… “If I was her, I would be planning an escape route from the whole situation.”
And, of course, by “whole situation,” Owen means Melania’s 18-year marriage to Donald Trump – as if a lifetime commitment should simply be thrown out the window because times are getting a little tough.
Naturally, this isn’t the first time someone has suggested Melania leave Trump for supposedly greener pastures and less drama.
But if an April report is any indication, Melania and Donald are closer than ever. In fact, she was even described as being her husband’s “secret weapon” against all that has come against him in the last few months.
Yeah, I don’t think she’s going anywhere. And we’ll admire her all the more for it.
