As a former model and a woman who still turns heads no matter what she’s wearing, the political left would love for you to think of Melania Trump as nothing more than a bit of eye candy – and a tainted one at that. But according to sources close to the Trumps, she’s far more than that.
Most recently, she’s been reported to be her husband, Donald Trump’s “secret weapon” as he continues to wade through legal troubles at both the state and federal levels.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the past few months have done a number on Trump. As you can imagine, constantly being harangued in and out of court, blasted on social media, and demonized by media outlets everywhere can’t exactly be good for the mind, body, or soul. A lesser man would have folded years ago.
And yet, Trump keeps pushing on. How does he do it?
Well, for starters, he has a loving and supportive wife.
As a reported “Trump insider told Page Six, “Melania is being credited by his friends with keeping President Trump ‘calm and focused’ amid the hellish week of his being indicted for the third time.”
According to friends, the last few weeks have been particularly “hard on Trump,” emotionally, at least. While he’s done well to present a “tough front” when out in public, those close to the Trump family admit that his day-to-day life has been affected.
And if it weren’t for Melania’s near-constant support and reassurances, they say his emotional state would likely be far worse.
So how does she do it?
Well, as sources say, a huge part of it is providing a “peaceful life” for Trump to return to when he needs it.
When at home, sources say that Melania tries to keep everything low-key and calming. They take their meals together as a family. She makes sure the news is turned off often and even makes time to watch something else as a family to distract Trump from the struggles of his recent weeks.
Additionally, Melania “frowns over telephone or social media use at the table.”
Basically, when Donald is home, she ensures that he is given ample time and space to unwind, disconnect, and focus on their family and other joys in life. And apparently, it has done more to calm and center him than his weekly golf game can, according to sources.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that Melania is also very supportive of Trump’s third bid and second presidential term.
As sources say, “She backs his bid for a second term completely and listens to him when he needs someone he can trust.” They add that she is “obsessively private, she never gossips with even her closest friends, so Trump knows when they talk about important things it’s just between them.”
Let me tell you, having someone at home you can trust is huge. Someone you can spill your guts to and know that whatever you say stays with just them can take the sting out of even the worst day. And when that someone is as supportive as they say Melania is, it only makes things that much better.
And with all that Trump has going on at present, it sure sounds like he needs someone just like that in his life. Good for Melania for being that support and help in his time of need. I pray I’m as gracious and helpful should my spouse ever be in a similar position.
