Despite Having No Clinics, North Dakota Bans a Major Majority of Abortions

April 24th saw North Dakota taking the most significant step to date to be on the right side of history as abortions are being swept from this nation. Governor Doug Burgum put the rest of the Republican party on notice that he is here, and he stands ready to protect the voiceless.

Signing this legislation, he has blocked all abortions past six weeks and only allowed them for limited cases in that short window. In instances of rape, incest, or when continued pregnancy would result in medical damage like an ectopic pregnancy. This law is more of a formality given the complete lack of clinics in the state. The last one left when a previous abortion ban chased Red River Women’s Clinic over the border from Fargo, ND, to Moorhead, Minnesota, where abortion somehow remains legal.

Previous legislation to outlaw abortion is currently held up in the state Supreme Court where a previous ban is being blocked as the lawsuit of its constitutionality is put in place. Following the Supreme Court’s ruling, numerous lawmakers proclaimed the new legislation would be to demonstrate the will of the people in ND.

Sen. Janne Myrdal (R-Edinburg) sponsored the state legislation. “North Dakota has always been pro-life and believed in valuing both moms and children. We’re pretty happy and grateful that the governor stands with that value.” Her interview on the subject shows how deeply committed she and the state are to keeping the right way of life in North Dakota.

An overwhelming change following the long overdue toppling of 1973’s Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion across the nation has been rampant. With states restricting or outright banning abortion, many leftists have been busy trying to squash the opposition. One of their most significant movements has been to increase clinics and offerings where legal.

In at least 20 states, Democratic governors enacted a network to make the state’s rights to abortion stronger than it was before. Attempting to be a flame for the lost moths that abortion has to wander the ether, these states are more concerned with pushing the liberal agenda than doing the right thing by these unborn children.

The will of the lawmakers and people of North Dakota won’t be ignored. They know what they want to accomplish and have to happen in their world, and they will do what it takes to make that happen. Being there to ensure the unborn have the opportunity at life is one of their principal causes to tackle in life.

Taking on this kind of responsibility isn’t easy for anyone. The number of poisoned liberals who refuse to accept that life is the proper and correct answer is ungodly. We punish murder, and we consider a heartbeat to be a sign of life in science. Not how advanced it is or how developed it has become. As such, we need to provide the same expectations for abortion.

Watching the left continue to try and deflect this is laughable. While they have a small tourism boom from this immoral and illicit act, it won’t last long. As a nation, it is time to bring legislation to abolish abortion, and when it does, the liberals will lose their minds.

At least for now, North Dakota can lead the way.
