Alec Baldwin Called a Server WHAT?

If you know much about Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin, it’s likely that his entire career can be seen as an example of what not to do. Sure, he’s had some success on the stage over the years, but as a person, he’s about as loathsome as they come.

Take an encounter a server had with him recently at a star-studded event in New York City, for example.

Now that Baldwin has officially evaded jail time and a trial for shooting and killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins two years ago, he was in attendance at the 2023 PEN America Spring Literary Gala in the Big Apple.

Naturally, at such an event, there was an entire staff of servers to supply food and drinks to the guests, such as Baldwin. And apparently, when one tried to do her job in Baldwin’s presence, he became rude and degrading, even calling her a “peasant.”

According to Page Six, the woman is a “sweep leader.” As she describes the job, it basically means she tells “the waiters when to put down the plates, and we have to do it in a certain order.”

Apparently, it was time to start serving, starting with the head of the table, to which Baldwin was speaking. So naturally, the woman went up to Baldwin just to politely let him know and to suggest that he take his seat or step aside so that the waiters could pass through and do their job.

But rather than politely acquiescing or moving over, Baldwin immediately became agitated and rude.

“So when is it a good time to talk to my friends?” he asked her. And when she didn’t immediately respond or move out of his way, no doubt due to shock at his demeanor, he asked, “Do I have to explain it to you?”

In the face of such hostility, the head server politely apologized and tried to de-escalate the situation, eventually just giving up and walking away. And that’s when he resorted to name-calling.

As the woman began walking away, Baldwin apparently mumbled the nasty comment “peasant,” according to several co-workers who witnessed the altercation.

Well, that’s not going to make anyone like him any better.
